Warehouse Worker Resume: Example, Skills and Forklift
Updated
A warehouse worker resume should show the work you did (picking, packing, receiving, shipping, loading), the equipment you operate and your numbers: units per hour, accuracy, safety record. List forklift training, OSHA safety training, RF scanners and warehouse management software, and the shifts you can work.
What to include on a warehouse worker resume
- Contact details: name, phone, professional email, city and state, and a LinkedIn URL if it is up to date. No photo, date of birth or other personal details: US employers don’t expect them.
- A professional summary of two or three sentences.
- Work experience, most recent first, with bullet points that show results, not just duties.
- Equipment: sit-down forklift, stand-up reach truck, order picker, pallet jack, RF scanner, and the type of facility (distribution center, fulfillment center, cold storage).
- Productivity and accuracy: units or lines per hour, pick accuracy, trailers loaded or unloaded.
- Safety: certifications, training and your record, such as time without an incident.
- Availability: shifts, overtime and peak season, if they are a strength.
Warehouse postings are often screened by keyword. Use the same job titles and equipment names as the posting (“order picker”, “reach truck”, “RF gun”) as long as you have really used them.
Sample professional summary
Warehouse associate with 4 years in a high-volume e-commerce fulfillment center. Pick, pack and ship 120+ units per hour with 99.8% accuracy using RF scanners and Manhattan WMS. Forklift and reach truck certified, OSHA 10 trained, with no safety incidents. Available for nights, weekends and peak-season overtime.
Put in your own rates, equipment and facility type. Staffing agency assignments count: name the agency and the site where you worked.
How to describe your experience
Under each job, write three to five bullets that start with an action verb and say what changed because of your work. The numbers below are examples: use your own.
WeakPicked orders.
BetterPicked 130 units per hour on average, beating the 110 UPH target for 10 consecutive months.
WeakOperated a forklift.
BetterPut away 60+ pallets per shift on sit-down and reach forklifts with no product damage or incidents.
WeakDid inventory.
BetterRan weekly cycle counts in my zone and fixed location errors, raising inventory accuracy to 99.5%.
WeakUnloaded trucks.
BetterUnloaded and checked in 8–10 inbound trailers per shift, flagging damaged or short shipments before they reached stock.
If you don’t have exact figures, describe the result without one, or use a range you could explain in an interview.

Certifications and training
- Forklift certification: OSHA requires employers to train and evaluate each operator on the types of powered industrial trucks they drive, and to re-evaluate them at least every three years. List the truck types and the year.

- High school diploma or GED.

Frequently asked questions
Does my forklift certification transfer to a new job?
Not automatically. OSHA makes each employer responsible for training and evaluating operators on its own equipment and site, so a new employer will usually evaluate you again. Your previous certification still proves experience, so list it.
Is OSHA 10 required for warehouse jobs?
Usually not by law, but some employers and staffing agencies ask for it, and it shows you take safety seriously. Check the job posting.
How do I list jobs through a staffing agency?
Name the agency and the site: “Warehouse Associate, [Agency] — assigned to [Company] Distribution Center”. It shows continuous work even if assignments changed.
Should I say how much weight I can lift?
Only if the application asks. Show physical capacity through results instead: trailers unloaded per shift, peak-season overtime, rate targets met.
